In order to celebrate Mavidea’s 5th birthday, I wanted to do a quick list of the my Top 5 Things That Didn’t Exist 5 Years Ago:
5. Cloud Computing – Ok, this has existing for a long time, but under different names. But now it is everywhere and is changing the way business will be done in the future. Mobility is here to stay!
4. Zack, Annie, Dylan, Ashlyn, and Rowan were all born to Mavideans in the last 5 years. Want to talk about motivation to work hard – these kids are going to need college paid for!
3. Microsoft Office 365 – Microsoft released their best-selling Office 365 platform just over 1 year ago. Office 365 combines Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync into an inexpensive and easy to use tool for business.
2. Smartphone Era – Can you believe that Apple iPhone, Google Android, and Microsoft Windows Phone 7 have gone from non-existent to dominating the cell phone markets all in 5 years? Blackberry dominated the business markets, but these new upstarts took over the home markets which bled into the business markets, virtually killing Blackberry.
