First of all, congratulations! If you’re thinking about launching your 1st site, you have just made the decision to market your products and/or services to a World-Wide marketplace. Sound overwhelming? It could be…however, I’d like to give you some ideas to consider that will help you prepare for the project… keep your eyes open for future blog posts from me about launching your 1st website!
Define your target audience-
Billions and billions of people use the internet on a daily basis to look for information, seek out service providers or purchase products. And, each year, this number GROWS! You could never reach all of them, (and your products or services don’t apply to everyone anyway) so it is important to think about who is most likely to purchase from you. If you can determine your prospective clients, you can develop your content to properly target these people.
For example, if your website sells services or products to dog owners, you would not write information specific to people who owned cats. You may also take it a step further by defining an age group or geographic locations of people who are most likely to purchase from you.
By taking the time to think about your audience, you will develop more pertinent and effective content that converts shoppers into buyers.
