I was listening to a Zig Ziglar audio series in the car last night and he made an interesting point that is very appropriate for this time of year.
He said, “Never judge a day by the weather”.
This time of year, we (at least I don’t think I am the only one) frequently check the weather and talk about how cold it is or how bad the snow storm will be.
We often judge whether (pun intended) it is going to be a good day or bad day based on the weather.
Zig tells the story of a day with some absolutely horrible weather that was also the day his daughter was born. He says that no matter how bad the weather was that day, it couldn’t have made it a bad day.
So, remember to judge every day by how much you are going to make of it, not by what the weather happens to be doing that day. Don’t let the weather determine whether (there I go again) you have a good day or a bad day.
Zig says that he has no intention of letting the weather make it a bad day, it is the only one he gets.
Make it a great day.
