In business (and life in general) people “talk” about the game. They say things like “next time I am going to really do it” or “I am ready this time”……Well, then “just make it happen”! Don’t just sit there – get into the game of life or the game of business and “make it happen”! You really do HAVE THE POWER if you can summon THE PASSION to make a change or a difference!
No matter what ”your calling” in life is, no matter what your station in life, no matter how trivial the challenge – PASSION IS WHAT DRIVES SUCCESS! Some people have “PASSION” for everything they do – They do it with GUSTO or they do not do it all. I applaud those people! But you have to “MAKE IT HAPPEN” sometimes. We all wake up on certain days and feel a little puny. We all get up and wish we could crawl back into bed. That is real life. But the REAL WINNERS in business and in life always seem to find a way to create the PASSION to MAKE IT HAPPEN!
These people will not let the bad day of others bring them down – Instead they move on and keep that smile going. They will not give in to that monster named “Challenge”! Instead they make “Challenge” into a their life’s blood and seek out ways to beat, overcome or outwork their “Challenges”! Those are the people who I want to align myself with each and everyday! Those people “FIRE ME UP”!
When life gets you down you have to pick up the pieces and “MAKE IT HAPPEN”…..Then you have to bring enthusiasm to the game in order to get others to participate. And it is those few – those very special few that truly HAVE PASSION that will climb to new heights!
This is your day. You are in control of every situation, in that, you have the power to respond in any way you would like. I say everyone should start to “MAKE IT HAPPEN” by becoming “engaged”! Get in the “game”! Step out from behind what I call the “mask of mediocrity” and show everyone the real you! The positive, inspired, PASSIONATE YOU!
There are moments when special things happen in our lives and in our careers. There are also moments when we have to “make something happen”. When you identify that it is time to “do something” you have to “just do it”! The fact that you have arrived at that moment is paramount to the “ahh haa” moment! This is the moment when you need to “Seize “this” day as the fulcrum of your career”! The very moment when, what you do, can possibly launch you onward toward success. But only if “you act upon the moment”.
So many times I have heard or have said the phrases “If I only had” or “I wish I would have” or “I missed the window of opportunity”! Hog wash! We have the ability to wake up and “make change happen”. We start with the action item – that is YOU. You are the action item in the formula. If you do the same thing again today that you did yesterday (and every other day for that matter) you will only arrive at the same destination as you did yesterday. It is like the movie “Ground Hog Day”……Make yourself do something different in order to arrive at a different location!
Then begin to EMPOWER OTHERS. This is a great way for you to have POSITIVE INFLUENCE in the lives of others and in the end it will make a difference in yours. Start with something small and build on it. It does not all happen in one day – But you need to start! Whether it is with a co-worker or one of your children. Begin working on “your plan”. – YOU CAN DO IT!
So, as we continue on this journey, know that we will make mistakes. Make the best of every one of them. But, know this too…Not every mistake can be seen as a mistake because without the value of having gone through it we would not know the value of the “lesson learned”.
