Going all out today

In the audio series, Jim talks about “Going all out today”.  Giving it your all in one day.  Seeing how much you can get done in one day.

I don’t know about you, but the times in my life when I have decided to go all out have been eye opening.

Whether it was when I was playing sports in high school, running on the treadmill, or just trying to get the most work done possible in one day; in every single situation I accomplished more than I thought I was capable of at the beginning.

A small part of me (again) would like to believe that I am special on this account too, but the rest of me knows better.  Every single one of us is capable of much more than we can even imagine.

We are holding ourselves back from achieving the greatness we were destined for.  We just need to figure out how to get out of our own way.

Go all out today.  Take today and push past your limits. 

Don’t just stop when your brain starts to hurt on that difficult task, push through and finish things up.

Don’t just stop where you usually would when exercising, push through and go for an extra couple reps/minutes/whatever.

Don’t just put the book down and move on to TV watching, read through one more chapter.

Don’t just plop down and watch TV, spend a few extra minutes cleaning up, doing dishes, etc.

Today is the only March 14th, 2011 you will get.  Go all out today and see how much you can accomplish when you really push yourself.

Go all out today, you will be amazed at the results.
