- Erik Barnlund is the CEO of Mavidea Technology Group, a marketing and technology company located in downtown Bloomington, Illinois. He is from Central Illinois and graduated in 1996 from Illinois Wesleyan University with his degree in Graphic Design. Shortly after graduating, Erik began designing websites – his career included Head Web Designer for Dave’s World, Web Project Development for COUNTRY, Agency Marketing Consultant for COUNTRY, and lastly, Owner of his own web design and development company that eventually merged to create Mavidea Technology Group. Currently, Erik spends most of his time as CEO of Mavidea striving to learn and better understand what makes a great company and happy employees. He provides his staff with the tools they need to grow into leaders and collaborate well together. Mavideans (Mavidea employees) live by their Why statement: “Have Fun Serving Othersâ€.
